The Stegeman Coliseum Athletic Training Room is the primary athletic training room for all Olympic sport athletes at the University of Georgia. Newly refurbished and redesigned in October 1997, it accommodates the needs of over 300 athletes.
This athletic training room is stocked with eight treatment tables, two massage tables, two taping decks, one height adjustable mat table, and one traction table. Numerous modality units such as electrical stimulators and ultrasound, are placed around the treatment tables for convenient use. A Cybex machine is available for strength testing and rehabilitation of various injuries. To maintain a high level of cardiovascular fitness, the athletic training room has three bikes (two recumbent and one upright), an upper body ergometer (UBE), a treadmill, a stairmaster, and a versaclimber. Various other rehabilitation devices such as theraband, weights, swiss balls, and step blocks are located throughout the training room.

One of the highlighted areas in the Coliseum Athletic Training Room is the hydrotherapy room. This room is separated from the rest of the treatment area by a wall of windows to allow for adequate supervision of hydro treatments while reducing the noise level to the remainder of the facility. The hydrotherapy room contains five whirlpools, two treatment tables, an ice machine and a freezer.
The Coliseum Athletic Training Room is staffed by five full-time athletic trainers, four graduate assistant athletic trainers, one physical therapist, and approximately 20 student athletic trainers. The athletic training room has four staff offices, a graduate assistants' office, a semiprivate massage area, and a doctor's exam office.
