Undefeated Gym Dogs to Host NCAA Regional
With a 15th SEC Championship trophy now resting on Georgia's mantel, the Gym Dogs get ready to host the NCAA Southeast Regional for the seventh time in program history. Georgia has won five of the previous six home regionals, with the only second-place finish coming in 1985 to Florida.

Georgia is looking to qualify to the NCAA Championships for the 23rd consecutive year. The Gym Dogs have won 17 regional titles but last year finished second to the Gators.

Two teams from the Big XII highlight the Athens regional field. Nebraska is ranked No. 12 nationally and finished sixth at last year's NCAA Championships. The Huskers have competed in Athens several times, with the most recent trip coming in 2003 for the Super Six Challenge. No. 13 Missouri will compete in Stegeman Coliseum for the first time since Jan. 15, 1985. The Tigers and Gym Dogs have competed head-to-head just four times, most recently during NCAA regional meets in 2002 and '04.

No. 22 West Virginia, No. 23 North Carolina and N.C. State round out the Southeast Regional field. All three teams were in attendance at the Southeast Regional in Gainesville, Fla., last year, and all three were also a part of the meet the last time Georgia hosted in 2003.
