Georgia Concludes Action At Mt. SAC Relays

ATHENS, Ga. --- Georgia sophomore Levern Spencer broke the school record in the high jump as the final action of the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif., concluded on Saturday.
Spencer, who was the Southeastern Conference indoor champion, finished with an NCAA regional qualifying mark of 6 feet, 2 ≤ inches. Her mark broke the Georgia outdoor high jump record and gave her a tie for third place in the event.
In the women,s triple jump, senior Patricia Sylvester won with a career-best mark of 44-2.75, which is the second-best mark in school history. Also, junior Shenae Dawkins finished in third place with a jump of 42-5.50.
Senior Kierney Jackson also altered the school record books by registering a regional qualifying mark of 13-8.25, which improved her No. 3 mark in Georgia history and gave her a fifth-place finish.
Junior Jennifer Dahlgren completed the weight throw with a mark 218-8, which gave her a third-place finish in the event.
In addition, Yendy Gilchrist took second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 55.26 and David Dickens finished second in the men,s 400 after crossing the finish line in 47.63.
