Georgia, News/Talk 750 WSB Agree To Contract Extension

ATHENS, Ga. --- The University of Georgia and News/Talk 750 WSB Radio of Atlanta have agreed to a three year extension of their existing contract covering broadcast rights to the Bulldogs' football and men¹s basketball programs.

The agreement extends the contract through June 30, 2010.

The contract covers rights to UGA radio broadcasts and all related radio programming for football and men's basketball including all pre-game, play-by-play, post-game, and weekly coaches shows. It also covers rights to television broadcasts of all football and men's basketball coach's television shows as well as the right to develop a statewide and regional network of affiliates.

"We look forward to continuing the winning relationship between two great Georgia institutions, News/Talk 750 WSB and the Bulldogs."

"The University of Georgia and News/Talk 750 WSB have a long history together going back over 60 years since the station started broadcasting Bulldog games," said UGA Director of Athletics Damon Evans. "It has been a great fit and we look forward to many more years of partnership in the broadcast of Bulldog football and men's basketball."

Cox Radio/WSB has held the network rights for Georgia radio since the 1995 football season. The current Georgia Bulldog radio network is made up of more than 70 radio stations.
