Three UGA Golfers Named To All-SEC Teams

ATHENS, Ga. -- David Denham and Chris Kirk of the Georgia men's golf team have been named First-Team All-SEC and Brendon Todd has been picked for the Second Team, according to an announcement by the league office on Monday.
"We are very proud of David, Chris and Brendon," Georgia coach Chris Haack said. "They have had solid seasons for us thus far, and we're going to be counting heavily on them as we head down the home stretch."
Denham, a senior from Tifton, is Georgia's leader in scoring average (72.57), top-10 finishes (six), top-20 finishes (eight) and par-or-better rounds (14). Denham was named Second-Team All-SEC in 2003 and 2004.
Kirk, a sophomore from Woodstock, has earned medalist honors at two events this year - the Isleworth Collegiate in October and the ASU Invitational in April. Kirk's scoring average is 72.63 and he has six top-10 finishes this year.
Todd, a sophomore from Charlotte, N.C., ranks third behind Denham and Kirk with a scoring average of 73.43. He has finished in the top 20 five times, including a third-place effort at the ASU Invitational. Todd was named First-Team All-SEC and the SEC Freshman of the Year in 2004.
The Bulldogs will return to action May 14-15 at The Maxwell in Ardmore, Okla., followed by an appearance in an NCAA Regional May 19-21 as they attempt to qualify for the NCAA Championships June 1-4 in Owings Mills, Md.
