Los Angeles, Calif.-----The eighth-ranked Gym Dogs pulled their second upset of the weekend by knocking off No. 2 UCLA and No. 17 Arizona with a final score of 196.5 at Pauley Pavilion on Sunday. The Bruins finished with a 196.1 while Arizona placed third at 193.625.
Georgia's (11-4) win was its fourth straight at UCLA in regular-season meetings.
Sophomore Ashley Kupets finished third in the individual all-around competition but her 39.5 set a new career high.
"Going through adversity is how you improve," said Georgia head coach Suzanne Yoculan. "It's difficult to improve without challenges. We have the most difficult schedule in the country and we lost four straight but each time they came back and worked even harder. After the Alabama meet I came down on them pretty hard, but the adversity has made this team tougher."
