TULSA, Okla. -- Senior University of Georgia men's tennis player Strahinja Bobusic won his third qualifying match at the All-American Championship to earn a wild-card berth in the main draw of 64 players. He toppled Federico Ueltschi of Montana, 6-3, 6-2 Wednesday afternoon, winning one of the 16 wild-card spots.

"Strahinja played outstanding tennis today," said assistant coach Will Glenn. "He showed lot of determination and great focus. He didn't give away any free points at all and his serving and groundstrokes were very good. He has just been really focused lately and is starting to play up to his potential and stepping up as leader on this team. He had to play three tough matches this week; he has shown a lot of determination and heart. He played a three-set grind in his first match and then came out less than 12 hours later, found his legs and played another match. He just keeps getting better as the tournament progresses."

Bobusic will try to continue his winning ways Thursday as he faces 13th-seeded Rylan Rizza in the first round of the main draw. Fellow Bulldog John Isner, the tournament's No. 4 seed, begins main-draw play on Thursday as well, opening his tournament against Alex Slovic of Washington.
