FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- The No. 6-ranked Gym Dogs survived with a 195.300 - 195.150 win over No. 12 Arkansas in front of 3,063 at Barnhill Arena on Friday night.

The score was Georgia's lowest since winning at the Super Six Challenge on opening night while Arkansas posted its highest mark of the year. It was also the closest margin of victory in the series between the two teams.

Georgia, which improved to 8-0, is now the last remaining undefeated team in the SEC.

"I wasn't pleased with our performance," said Georgia head coach Suzanne Yoculan. "You know all the SEC teams are good so if you don't perform well they'll all be close."

In the final rotation Georgia fell twice to start the balance beam, but the final four competitors held on for a 48.275 event score. Michelle Emmons (9.65), Nikki Childs (9.85), Kelsey Ericksen (9.8) and Katie Heenan (9.75) helped the Gym Dogs pull out the victory as Arkansas (3-1) scored a 48.8 on the floor.
