Brittany Thome Talks About Fall Workouts

Training has been going great. Keith is doing an outstanding job making the transition from football to gymnastics. He is really focusing on keeping our team fit this year without banging our bodies up too bad. He has been doing less long distance running and more sprints so our bodies don't get so beat up during the fall. Keith has us lifting a lot with light weights and doing more reps to lean our muscles out instead of bulking us up. The workouts are tough but in the end it will all be worth it. If we can make it through the fall training then the season will hopefully be a breeze. As far as my gymnastics, I am doing extremely well in then gym. I'm still enjoying working out whenever I want, but at the same time, I am able to work out my problem areas before mandatory starts. The team this year is awesome!!! I thought the 2004 team was going to be hard to top with how amazing our team chemistry was, but man, these freshman really have become close to everyone on the team in such a short period of time. They are doing great in and outside of the gym and the 2005 gymdawg's team chemistry couldn't be better!!! It's going to be a great year. I can tell because it's not just a few gymnasts off to a great start, but our whole TEAM is right on schedule!!! Till next time.
