TULSA, Okla. -- The Georgia doubles team of Bo Hodge and John Isner used a three-set victory Friday afternoon to advance the quarterfinals at the 2004 NCAA Men's Tennis Championships at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa. Hodge exited the tournament with a Round of 16 loss Friday morning.

The third-seeded Bulldog tandem needed three sets to get past Jamie Cerretani and Adil Shamadsin of Brown in Friday's Round of 16 match. Georgia posted a 6-3 win in the first set, but dropped a second-set tiebreak to send the match to a third and final set. This time the Bulldogs came out victorious in a tiebreak, advancing to the quarterfinals with a 6-3, 6-7 (4), 7-6 (3) win. Hodge and Isner did not lose their serve during the match.

"I thought we came out today playing well," said Isner. "I thought that after we won that first set we would cruise in the second. But those guys kept their intensity up, and they played a great second set. They fought off five break points. We just had to grind the whole way through."
