Bulldogs have Pro Day in Athens on Thursday

ATHENS, Ga. -- The dreams of playing in the NFL came a little closer to reality on Thursday for several former Georgia Bulldogs as they participated in Pro Day on the UGA campus.

The NFL hopefuls - including Damien Gary, Bruce Thornton, Kenny Bailey, Ben Watson, Sean Jones, Kentrell Curry, Michael Johnson, Ken Veal, Robert Brannon and Jeff Lyons, along with former players Jasper Sanks and Kareem Marshall - went through a battery of drills, including a 225-pound bench press, the broad jump, the vertical jump, the 40-yard dash and shuttle runs. The players also did some position-specific drills with the scouts.
