Georgia Continues Homestand Against Furman

The Bulldogs will continue their current homestand with a Feb. 20 match against Southern Conference foe Furman. The contest marks the fifth of a seven-match homestand to open the season for Georgia. The Bulldogs are a perfect 25-0 against the Paladins, with the last meeting coming during the 2002 campaign. Georgia topped Furman 4-0 in the first round of the 2001 NCAA Tournament.
The Paladins are 0-3 on the year will all three losses coming on the road, and the team will play five more away matches before facing Gardner Webb on March 13 in the team's first home match.
Georgia splits pair of weekend matches against UNC and Louisville
The men's tennis team split a pair of Valentine's weekend matches, as the Bulldogs lost to No. 52 North Carolina, 5-2, on Feb. 14, before defeating No. 61 Louisville, 5-2, Feb. 15. Both matches were played indoors at the Lindsey Hopkins Indoor courts.
Georgia won the doubles point against the Tar Heels but lost five of the six singles matches in the defeat. It marks the second year that the Bulldogs have lost to UNC. Against the Cardinals, Georgia got behind early after dropping the doubles point but came back to win five of six singles matches for the team's third victory of the season.
