After dispatching SEC-rival Auburn 1228.2-1100.74 on Friday, the Georgia equestrian team (5-0, 4-0 SEC) is gearing up to host Ohio State at 2 p.m. Saturday in the final meet of the fall competition slate at the Animal Science Arena on South Milledge Avenue.

"I was very pleased with this past weekend," associate head coach Beth Bass said. "I thought all of our girls performed really well. That's pretty obvious by their scores. Now we have to refocus and regroup for this week."

Georgia's riders will have just one week to learn a new set of tests on which they will compete against the Buckeyes. The Bulldogs competed against Ohio State at the California Classic in Fresno, Calif., where they finished second out of seven teams last season, but they have never faced the Buckeyes in a head-on-head dual meet format. The meet will mark the first time that Ohio State, a club team seeking varsity status, has competed in the dual meet format under proposed NCAA rules.
