Frazier Advances at SEC Coaches Fall Classic

ATHENS------Georgia sophomore Natalie Frazier advanced at the SEC Coaches Fall Classic Friday, posting a 6-3,7-6 win over Amanda Mang (LSU) while freshman Anastasiya Shevchenko dropped into the consolation draw at the Peachtree City event. Shevchenko fell to Liis Sober (Kentucky) 6-1,6-2. Meanwhile at the Wilson/ITA National in Ann Arbor, Mich., Bulldog sophomore Shadisha Robinson moved into the quarterfinals of the consolation draw with a straight-set victory. Robinson defeated Helena Besovic (TCU) 7-5,6-1. Up next, she will face second-seed Dianne Hollands (Arizona) on Saturday. Last year, Robinson won the consolation singles title at this grand slam tournament. Play continues through Sunday and marks the end of the fall tournament season.
