Cross Country Teams Conclude Season at NCAAs

Georgia's men's and women's cross country teams wrapped up the season with at the NCAA Championship in Terre Haute, Ind., Monday. The Bulldogs finished 25th and the Lady Bulldogs were 24th.
Simon Ngata clocked the best Georgia finish on the day, ending the race in sixth place after a 10K time of 30:56.5.
"Simon was just amazing," cross country coach Dave Hartman said. "We have known he has [this kind of] capability, but so far this year it hadn't come through 100 percent. We knew things would be coming for him, and it's nice to put it all together here. If you're going to have a great meet now is the time to have it."
Mike Swope clocked in at 32:52.9 for a 127th-place conclusion, and Ian Burrell came in 156th in 33:10.1. Other finishers for Georgia's men included Philip Bett (192nd, 33:31.4), Grant Eichenlaub (199th, 33:38.1) and Ryley Miller (213st, 3445.8).
