TUSCALOOSA, ALA.----Miami's second-ranked Megan Bradley captured the Wilson/ITA South Regional singles title with a 6-3,6-4 win over Georgia sophomore Shadisha Robinson here Monday.

Bradley, the top seed in the tournament held on the campus of the University of Alabama, posted five wins in straight sets en route to the title. Robinson, now a two-time finalist in this tournament, drops to 9-2 on the year. As a singles finalist, Robinson earns an invitation to the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships at the University of Michigan, from November 4-7. The Indoor Championships are the second of three national championship events held during the season.

"Shadisha had an excellent showing and qualified for the national tournament so we're pleased about that," said Georgia coach Jeff Wallace. "Shadisha played well enough to win, she attacked at the right time but didn't always execute all of her shots. You have to play almost flawless to beat Megan (Bradley)."

Last season, Bradley was defeated by Robinson in three sets 5-7, 6-3, 6-3 in the semi-final round of the 2003 ITA Southern Regional Championships.

With her latest win, Bradley improves to 14-1 this season. On Sunday Bradley and Audrey Banada claimed the doubles title after defeating Florida's Lolita Frangulyan and Whitney Benik by default.

Georgia wraps up its fall tournament season in two weeks. While Robinson will be at the ITA National Indoors, the Bulldogs will have a contingent participating in the SEC Fall Classic, slated Nov. 5-7 in Peachtree City, Ga.
