Coach Perno Answers Your Questions

October 15, 2004 | Baseball

Oct. 15, 2004

We appreciate the many emails expressing interest in the Bulldog baseball program. One of the most often questions I'm asked is who, where and how we recruit. First of all, if your grades are not very good, there's no chance you will get to play at most colleges.

At Georgia, we recruit student-athletes according to the three A's: Academics, Ability and Attitude. We like student-athletes to have a very high standard in these three areas, and it's what we look for when we talk with the prospects, their parents/guardians and their coaches. One way for our coaching staff to see you in person is to attend one of our camps here which are held in the winter and summer. Here are the dates for the 2004 winter camp.

Dec. 18,20,27,29 - Hitting: (Ages: 13-18) 9 am-4:30 pm
Dec. 19, 29 - Pitching and Catching: (Ages 13-18) 9 am-4:30 pm

For more information or a camp brochure, please contact the baseball office at (706) 542-7971.

Now let's get to some of the other questions.
