ATHENS----Georgia went a perfect eight-for-eight in matches Friday in day one of the Bulldog Invitational at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.
In afternoon doubles action against Georgia Southern, Bulldog senior Agata Cioroch teamed up with freshman Natalie Frazier to post an 8-4 victory over Amy Pazahaniek and Krystal Sauvageau. Georgia freshman Shadisha Robinson sophomore Evgenia Subbotina also recorded an 8-3 win over Callie Ward and Kimberly Wollet. The Bulldogs swept the four singles matches too, completing a solid first day and successful Georgia debut for Robinson and Frazier.
Cioroch, preseason ranked number one nationally, dispatched Charlotte Bruneteaux 6-1, 6-1 to improve to 102-11 in her career. Frazier closed out Sauvageau 6-1, 6-2. Robinson blanked Heather Reynolds 6-0, 6-0 and Subbotina defeated Pazahaniek 6-1, 6-0. The Bulldogs notched a pair of doubles wins over Kansas State in the morning session while USA swept three from Georgia Southern.
