Kinsey Rowe returned to the all around competition last weekend against the University of Maryland for the first time since January 13th of 2002. In her time at Georgia, Rowe sustained a torn ACL days prior to the 2001 season opener, as well as an injury to her foot while vaulting in a dual meet at the University of Alabama last season. Rowe is once again scheduled to compete in all four events in this weekend's dual meet held at Georgia against the University of Auburn.
Rowe, 20, has excelled in the classroom as well as on the gymnastics mats, earning a 4.0 Grade Point Average for the fall semester while being a part of the Honors Program at the University of Georgia. Following graduation next spring, Rowe plans on attending graduate school for Bio- medical engineering, and hopes to do research in that field.
On crutches for three months during her sophomore campaign, Rowe returned to the Uneven Bars lineup for the Southeastern Conference Championships last season, and helped the University of Georgia defend their title in a close competition.
