Georgia Takes #9 Vandy 4-3

ATHENS, GA---Fifth ranked Georgia posted a 4-3 win over #9 Vanderbilt Friday at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.

Georgia (6-1) lost the doubles point and then won four of the six singles matches over the Commodores who fall to 9-2. In doubles, Georgia's number one team of Agata Cioroch and Lori Grey was the only team to record a win beating Vanderbilt's Sarah Riske and Aleke Tsoubanos 9-7. The No. 2 team of Tina Hojnik and Evgenia Subbotina and the No. 3 team of Anne Nguyen and Douglas Wink both fell to their opponents giving Vanderbilt an advantage heading into singles play. This is the first time this season that Georgia has given up the doubles point.
