ATHENS, Ga. -- The University of Georgia soccer team will play five games during its spring practice season starting this Sunday versus the Georgia 85 Olympic Development Program team at 4:30 p.m. The team is one of four preparing for the ODP national championship tournament. UGA assistant Michele Rodriguez-Smith serves as an assistant to that squad.

All five games will be played at the UGA Soccer/Softball Complex. The Bulldogs will also host the Georgia 86 ODP team on February 22 at 10 a.m. Rodriguez-Smith serves as the head coach for that squad. She will coach on the UGA sideline for the game versus the Georgia 85 ODP, but will likely coach the Georgia 86 ODP team in their match versus UGA. Georgia then host the Norcross 86 Blue on February 23 at 4:30 p.m., a UGA alumni team on March 8 at 11 a.m. and the USYSA Region III team on March 30 at 1 p.m.

"We're excited to host some of the best talent in Georgia for these games," head coach Sue Patberg said. "It gives these teams the opportunity to play a college team and prepare for their other competitions."
