Knoxville, Tenn. --- The No. 7-ranked Georgia women's golf team shot 306 in Tuesday's final round of the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship and slipped from third to fourth in the final team standings.

"We just didn't play well," head coach Todd McCorkle said. "The effort was there, which is very positive. They're trying extremely hard, maybe too hard. We're a young team and I expect us to have some ups and down, but we shouldnt be having this dramatic of a swing in our day-to-day play."

The Lady Bulldogs shot 14 strokes worse than their second-round score. "The bottom line is that Ive got to do a better job of coaching them," McCorkle said. "It's my responsibility to get them in a frame of mind to perform at their best."

Individually, sophomore Lisa Tyler posted the best finish of her career by tying for 12th at 6-over 222. Tyler entered the final round two strokes off the individual lead and actually moved atop the leaderboard briefly following a birdie at No. 1. Tyler struggled thereafter, however, and finished with a 78.
