ATHENS------- An alcohol-free tailgate area has been established for the three remaining University of Georgia home football games and will begin three hours prior to kickoff.
The tailgate area will be located in the UGA Health Center parking lot and will feature childrens' activities, non-alcoholic beverages, and Bulldog Olympic sport student-athletes who will be available for autographs, photos, and other activities. The tailgate prior to this week's UAB game will begin at 10 a.m.
The tailgate is being sponsored by the UGA Health Center, Coca Cola, St. Mary's Hospital, and the UGA Athletic Association.
The tailgate project is part of an overall effort on the part of the Athletic Association to promote alcohol and drug education and awareness on campus and in the community.
