ATHENS-----University of Georgia baseball coach David Perno announced Tuesday the addition of Jason Eller to his staff as a volunteer assistant coach.

Eller replaces Allen Osborne who recently was named an assistant coach at East Carolina. Eller's duties will include working with the outfielders and hitters plus assisting during on-campus recruiting visits.

"We're pleased to have Jason Eller join our staff," said Perno. "He is a highly-motivated individual who will be an excellent addition to the program. "

A native of Marietta, Ga., Eller comes to the Bulldogs from Georgia State where he spent the 2002 season as an assistant on Mike Hurst's staff. Eller served as hitting instructor, worked with the outfielders and was the team's strength training coordinator.

Also, Eller has been a part of the East Cobb Tiger baseball program including the manager of the 18 and under CABA World Series championship squad in 2001 and assistant coach of the 2000 team that won the CABA World Series. He has worked as an instructor at various summer baseball camps including at Georgia, Florida State, Griffey International and the Bucky Dent Baseball School.
