Lady Bulldogs await potential NCAA Tourney bid on Sunday

After falling to No. 3 Tennessee in the quarterfinals of last week's SEC Tournament, Georgia will have to wait until this Sunday afternoon to learn whether or not the Lady Bulldogs will be extended an invitation to the NCAA Tournament.

The Lady Bulldogs are now 19-10 overall and were ranked No. 24 in both the AP and USA Today/ESPN polls last week. Following the SEC Tourney, Georgia was ranked No. 22 and No. 25 in the WBCA and collegerpi.com computer rankings, respectively.

"If you look at strength of schedule, RPI, etc., that would suggest that we're in," Andy Landers said.

Seniors impressive in Nashville

While much has been made of the youth movement which has invaded Athens this winter -- seven of 13 Lady Dogs are freshmen -- it was a pair of battle-tested seniors who led the way in Georgia's two SEC Tournament games.
