UGA Men's Golf Team In Fifth Place

STATESBORO, Ga. - The 14th-ranked Georgia men's golf team -- led by senior Bryant Odom and sophomore Ryan Hybl -- opened in fifth place after two rounds of the Schenkel E-Z-GO Invitational here on Saturday.

Odom and Hybl stand in the group tied for seventh place at 1-under 143 as the participating teams played two rounds on Saturday at Forest Heights Country Club. Odom carded rounds of 71-72 while Hybl went 73-70 to stand just five shots behind Clemson's D.J. Trahan, who opened with a 6-under 138.

The Bulldogs, who have claimed the last two team titles and the last two medalists at the Schenkel, posted a 6-over 294 in the morning and a 2-under 286 in the afternoon for a total of 4-over 580. Augusta State is the tournament's leader at 7-under 569.
