The Georgia track and field team travels to Baton Rouge, La., this weekend for a SEC three-way competition with LSU and Auburn, Saturday, March 23, at the Bernie Moore Track Stadium.

Lemen Breaks Records, Qualifies at Texas A&M Multis and Georgia Relays
Senior David Lemen placed third in the Gold division decathlon at the Texas A&M Multi-Event Festival March 14 and 15 with a career-best and NCAA automatic qualifying point total of 7920, besting his own school record. The point total also qualifies him for the U.S. Track and Field Championships to be held June 21-23 in Stanford, Calif.

Lemen then returned to Athens March 16 to win the pole vault at the Georgia Relays with a meet record and NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 17 feet, 2.75 inches.

He performed the same feat last season, setting the then-school decathlon record and posting an automatic qualifying point total (7772) at Texas A&M before returning home to win the pole vault at the Georgia Relays with the then-meet record (16-8.75).
