Kara Braxton Named SEC Freshman Of The Year

Athens, Ga. --- Kara Braxton's SEC Freshman of the Year accolade highlighted Georgia's portion of league post-season honors announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

In addition, Braxton was named both first-team All-SEC and All-SEC Freshman. Christi Thomas was tabbed second-team All-SEC, while Ebony Felder was an All-Freshman selection. Mary Beth Lycett and Tina Taylor were named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll.

"I'm pleased and proud of each of the these players for their respective honors," Andy Landers said. "These awards are the result of a great deal of hard work and dedication which hopefully lead to even more recognition in the future."
