ATHENS--------The University of Georgia Athletic Association has obtained 2,200 additional tickets to the Southeastern Conference Championship game Dec. 7 in Atlanta.

According to Associate Athletic Director for Tickets Freddy Jones, the allotment will be evenly split between students and contributors. The student sale will be Tuesday, Dec. 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Stegeman Coliseum. Only students who signed up for the previous SEC lottery and did not win will be eligible for these tickets. The tickets will be $50 each (cash only) and sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

"We are very happy to be able to offer our students additional tickets" Jones said. "This was very important to (Athletic Director) Coach Dooley and President Adams. They both acknowledged their concern about the student allotment and wanted to explore every avenue to obtain more tickets."

As for the contributors, Jones said his office would contact as many of those close to the previous cutoff as possible on Monday and give them first the first opportunity to purchase. Any tickets remaining will be put on sale Wednesday at the Butts-Mehre building beginning at 8:30 a.m.
