Not a lot has changed in the past couple of weeks. All the floor routines are finally done and are really looking great. Injuries are getting better. Marline Stephens is finally out of her cast, and is now in a walking boot. She hasn't been using her crutches that much and the scar looks great. Sierra Sapunar and Brittany Smith are coming back from their shoulder injuries and both are progressing well. Kinsey Rowe took a nasty fall last Monday on bars and broke her nose. She had surgery on it Thursday and went to the doctor again yesterday (Monday) to get it checked out once more. She should be back practicing within the week (we hope).
Everyone is looking forward to this week because a lot of us are going home for the holidays. Thanksgiving is here, and it's the first real break that we have had all fall. Some of us took advantage of fall break and went home while others went to Florida to watch the game, so for many this is the first trip home since August. Even though we are all anxious to see our families, we do have two days of practice this week (Monday and Tuesday), and I am sure that they will be good ones.
This weekend is the last home game for the football team. They will take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in Sanford Stadium on Saturday afternoon. While many of you will be in attendance, I will be home in Virginia rooting them on from my couch. Good luck to the dogs!!!
