Bulldogs Fall To Florida, 20-13

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The recurring theme in the Georgia locker room following last Saturday's game with Florida was what might have been. The Bulldogs saw several scoring chances go by the wayside, resulting in a frustrating 20-13 loss to the Gators in front of 84,433 at Alltel Stadium. With the victory, Florida extended its win streak in the series to five straight and 12 out of the last 13.
"It's very disappointing," Georgia coach Mark Richt said. "It wasn't like Florida played a perfect game either, but they played a better game than we did. They took advantage of their opportunities more than we did."
The Bulldogs were blanked in the second half by the Gators, who got a 10-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Rex Grossman to tight end Ben Troupe with 11:32 remaining for the go-ahead points. The touchdown capped an 89-yard march, Florida's longest of the game and what called Grossman called "our best drive of the season."
