Froelich Finishes 10th At Stanford

Stanford, Calif. --- Freshman Kelly Froelich finished 10th individually at the Stanford Pepsi Intercollegiate on Sunday, completing 54 holes at 5-over 221.
The 12th-ranked Lady Bulldogs placed seventh in the 17-team field at 903.
Senior Summer Sirmons paced the Lady Dogs on Sunday, firing a 1-under 71. The round represented the first par-or-better tally of the fall for Sirmons, a two-time All-American.
Georgia received additional counters from Jackie Beers, who shot 76; Froelich, who shot 77; and Natalia Nicholls, who shot 80. Lisa Tyler posted an 82.
Overall, Sirmons and Nicholls tied for 17th at 225, Beers tied for 54th at 235 and Tyler tied for 69th at 240.
California claimed the team title at 885, two strokes better than Washington. Arizona's Erica Blasberg earned medalist honors at 5-under 211, five strokes better than anyone else in the field.
The Lady Bulldogs will complete the fall portion of their campaign at the Auburn-Derby Invitational in two weeks.
