Four Bulldogs Play At Georgia Tech Fall Classic

ATLANTA, Ga. --- Four members of the Georgia men's tennis team were in action at the 2002 Georgia Tech Fall Classic at the Bill Moore Tennis Center in Atlanta on Friday.

The event features two singles flights, two doubles flights and a consolation draw for each singles flight for those losing their first-round match.

Sophomore Stephan Timu was the fourth seed in the "A" singles draw, but he dropped his first-round match to Georgia Tech's West Nott in straight sets, 7-6 (6), 6-4. Timu moved to the consolation bracket and picked up a three-set victory against Jonas Askeland of Armstrong Atlantic State, 6-3, 4-6, 6-2.

Also in the "A" flight, Will Glenn defeated Dale White of Armstrong Atlantic State in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4, in the first round, but the senior fell in the second round to Georgia State's Matias Ormaza, 6-3, 6-1.
