Georgia Posts A 7-0 Shutout Over BYU

ATHENS-----Fifth-ranked Georgia blanked #35 BYU 7-0 Saturday at the Lindsey Hopkins Indoor Center.

The Lady Bulldogs (2-0) won all three doubles matches for the first team point and then swept the six singles matches over the Lady Cougars (1-2). Georgia has won 39 consecutive home matches, a streak that dates back to 1998.

Georgia picked up the doubles point as Tina Hojnik and Mariel Verban won 8-0 at No. 2 followed by Lori Grey and Agata Cioroch posting an 8-2 victory in the No. 1 match over Brooke Beverley and Lindsay Ferrell. The duo of Anne Nguyen and Alexandra Smith defeated Lu Oswald and Nicole Schneider 8-5 in the No. 3 match.
