ATHENS----------- The suspension of University of Georgia basketball players Tony Cole and Steve Thomas has been lifted by Bulldog head coach Jim Harrick and they will begin practicing Thursday. However, their status for competition will be determined as additional information becomes available.

"We suspended these players on January 16 based on the serious nature of the allegations and on the initial information which was available," said Harrick. "Based on the information we have at this time, I think it is appropriate and fair to re-instate both players for practice beginning today. Their status in terms of competition will be determined day-to-day as the process continues. However, the decision is subject to re-evaluation at any time more information becomes available as a result of the continuing investigation."
