Three Bulldogs Reach Quarterfinals Of The SEC Indoor Championships

LEXINGTON, Ky. --- The Georgia men's tennis team continued play on Friday at the 2002 SEC Coaches' Indoor Championships held at the Boone Tennis Center and Lexington Tennis Club in Lexington, Ky. Three Bulldogs won a pair of matches on Friday to advance to Saturday's quarterfinals.

Bo Hodge, Lesley Joseph and Nicolas Boeker each won both scheduled matches on Friday to reach the quarterfinals. Hodge, who is the defending singles champion and No. 2 seed, topped Aymeric Henou from Mississippi State 6-3, 7-5, in the second round and posted a 6-2, 7-5, win against Floridas Eleazar Magallan in the third round.

Joseph registered a 6-3, 6-4, win over Patrick Chucri of Ole Miss before gutting out a three-set victory against LSU's Peter Richman (6-7, 6-4, 6-4). Boeker followed suit with a 7-6, 6-4, win over Gator Matt Behrman and rounded out the day with a 7-5, 3-6, 7-6 (5), win against Paul Ciorascu of Ole Miss.
