GEORGIA CROSS COUNTRY RESERVES COMPETE AT CLEMSON INVITATIONAL

CLEMSON, S.C. -- The University of Georgia men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Clemson Invitational Saturday with the squads' top runners taking the weekend off and allowing the reserves to gain some race experience. Both the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs placed fifth at the meet.
Freshman Patrick Skehan led the Georgia men, placing 16th overall with a time of 26:44 over the 8,000 meter course. Sophomore Kelley Hagen led the women, placing 18th with a time of 20:20 over the 5,000 meter course.
The full Georgia squads return to action Friday, Oct. 5, as UGA hosts the Bulldog Stampede at the University Golf Course in Athens. The women's two mile race is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. and the men's 5,000 meter race is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
