Nine Bulldogs Named To AP All-SEC Teams

ATHENS--------- Ten University of Georgia Bulldogs were named to the All-SEC first, second, and honorable mention teams Tuesday by the Associated Press and quarterback David Greene was selected as the Freshman of the Year.
Named to the All-SEC first team were OT Jon Stinchcomb, Jr., Lilburn, Ga., TE Randy McMichael, Jr., Ft. Valley, Ga., and CB Tim Wansley, Sr. Buford, Ga. Second team selections included C Curt McGill, Sr., Snellville, Ga., and DE Charles Grant, Jr., Colquitt, Ga. Bulldogs named honorable mention were LB Tony Gilbert, Jr., Macon, Ga., SE Fred Gibson, Fr., Waycross, Ga., Rov Jermaine Phillips, Sr., Roswell, Ga., and P Jonathan Kilgo, Jr., Silver Creek, Ga.
Greene started all 11 regular season games completing 192 of 324 passes for 2,789 yards, most ever by a freshman quarterback at UGA. He also threw for 17 touchdowns.
