DIAMOND DOG RECRUITING CLASS GROWS TO 14

ATHENS-----Bulldog baseball coach David Perno announced Thursday four more members of the recruiting class for the 2003 season as they recently signed a national letter-of-intent to attend the University of Georgia.
The latest group of Bulldog signees, which brings the total to 14, includes two-way standout Brandon Moss (Loganville HS), junior college outfielder Larry Grayson (Manatee CC) along with pitchers Mitchell Boggs (Dalton HS) and Josh McLaughlin (Wichita Heights {Kan.} HS). Here is a look at the latest additions:
Brandon Moss: A 6-2, 180-pound pitcher from Loganville, Ga., he earned Conference Player of the Year honors last season for the Loganville Red Devils and coach Jeff Segars. On the mound, he went 7-3 with a 2.87 ERA and 105 strikeouts in 74 innings pitched. Also, Moss batted .541 with 10 home runs, 42 RBI and 15 stolen bases. He was ranked among the top 20 prospects at the 2001 Team USA Junior Trials and also attended showcases at UGA, Team One in Florida and the Eastern Pro event.
