Bulldogs Welcome Clemson Tuesday To Foley Field

ATHENS----The 19th-ranked Georgia Bulldogs play host to 15th-ranked Clemson Tuesday at Foley Field. First pitch will be at 7:02 p.m. and be available on the SEC Network and the Bulldog Sports Network from IMG.
 
Under the direction of Georgia's Ike Cousins head baseball coach Scott Stricklin, the Bulldogs enter the Clemson game with a 25-11 mark while the Tigers are 26-10. In the latest NCAA Ratings Percentage Index (RPI), the Bulldogs are No. 7 and the Tigers are No. 18. Last Tuesday, Georgia defeated then No. 8 Clemson 6-3 at SRP Park in North Augusta, S.C. Both teams are looking to bounce back after dropping a conference series at home this past weekend as the Bulldogs fell to 11th-ranked Kentucky in SEC action, while in the ACC, Clemson lost to unranked Miami (Fla.).
 
The Bulldogs are batting .282 as a team while they have an ERA of 3.57 and a fielding percentage of .978. Clemson arrives at Foley Field with a .245 batting average, a 3.34 ERA and a .975 fielding percentage. Georgia's leading hitter is senior outfielder Keegan McGovern (.344-12-36) while the Tigers are paced by junior Seth Beer (.288-10-25). Both players are among the 40 on the Golden Spikes Award Midseason Watch List.
 
Georgia will employ a staff night on the mound starting with sophomore right-hander Will Proctor (2-2, 3.24 ERA, 2 SV). It will mark his first career start after 13 relief appearances this season. The Tigers will counter with freshman right-hander Travis Marr (3-0, 2.81 ERA).
 
Georgia is in a stretch of 11 straight games against ranked opponents, and after Tuesday's contest, the Bulldogs return to SEC action at No. 7 Ole Miss Friday.

Foley Field Follows SEC's Clear Bag Policy
In order to enhance safety and expedite fan entry at Georgia athletic events, UGA follows the SEC's Clear Bag Policy at Foley Field and all other athletic facilities. Only one clear bag no larger than 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches (gallon size) per person is permitted. Fans are also allowed a small clutch purse not exceeding 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches. Also, Seat cushions/backs should be no bigger than 16 inches and have no arms or pockets.
