On getting the win in the second game of the day…
"It was a gut check for us coming off those four games in Charleston but we played really well against The Citadel on Tuesday and that gave us momentum and had us feeling a little better about ourselves coming home. Anytime you sweep someone, it's a big deal; it's a tough thing to do in college baseball. Toledo has a bunch of juniors and seniors who are tough guys and they really competed and battled and gave us everything we could take in that last game."
On Aaron Schunk's performance…
"That's the best I've seen Aaron play this weekend all around. Every single ball he hit was on the nose and every one of his outs were loud outs. He made every play out there. … He played his tail off and saved the game for us going in and playing three innings [on the mound]. He's very valuable and you can argue he's out best player right now but we've got a lot of guys at any given time you can put in that category. We've got some depth and need to see everyone going at the same time right now."
Player's Perspective
Freshman CF C.J. Smith
On his first career homerun…
"I was just trying to put a good swing on it honestly. I've been working on getting my hands inside the ball, getting my hands to the ball and thankfully it paid off."
On his continued success as a freshman in the lineup…
"Those first few at-bats I was definitely a little nervous, just with the whole atmosphere being in the SEC, but it's slowed down for sure. I try to keep a level head. Baseball is a humbling game and I try to keep a level head about it."
